What you need to know . . .
Business professional attire is strongly recommended.
In order to leave the best possible impression on companies, it is key to be appropriately dress. Proper attire can help you put your best foot forward with recruiters.
We have listed both business professional and business casual attires. We strongly recommend dressing to the highest standard in business professional. However, every company is different and will have different expectations regarding dress.
There are multiple options to borrow suits in preparation for the Business Student Council Career Fair. Both Mays and the MSC have career closets. We recommend booking your appointment at least a week before Career Fair to ensure you get your desired appointment time, as career closets are quite busy during Career Fair times. Additionally, you will need to return the suit within a week of your rental, so keep this in mind when selecting your appointment time. You will need to pick the suit up, wear it to the fair, and get it dry cleaned in the week you choose. Here is the website to book an appointment for the Mays Career Closet. Here is the website to book an appointment for the MSC Career Closet.
Appropriate attire is about looking your best to companies. Do not wear jeans, flip-flops, shorts, sneakers, or t-shirts.
We also recommend bringing a padfolio to the career fair to hold your resumes and other documents. Business Student Council has padfolios available for renting and purchasing at the venue or you can bring your own.
If you are unsure whether your attire will be considered business professional, please contact us ahead of time and ask! We wish you all the best in your recruiting efforts. If you have any questions feel free to or contact us!
